Office five a side teams often hold a Christmas do. A team of the year card for each member, or for a voted best eleven, makes a fun centrepiece for the evening and a much better prize than a novelty mug.

Let the team vote on the lineup in the group chat, then reveal the cards at the party. The goalkeeper who let in nine will be glad of a high rating for once.

Timing for Christmas

Because the team of the year falls at the end of the calendar year, these cards double as Christmas presents. Every card is made to order, so place your order in good time and plan for a little extra time before the date you need them.

If you are giving the cards on the day itself, order well before the busy weeks in December.

Filling in the template

Upload a photo, zoom until the face fills the space, then add the name, a high rating, a position and six stats from the year. Adding the year itself to a stat turns the card into a record.

Good stats for a year-end card include goals, assists, matches played, player of the month votes and best moment. Keep them the same across the whole team.

Photo tips

Use a recent photo from a match or a team night out. Keep the face sharp; we remove the background, so it does not matter whether it was taken on a pitch or in a pub.

Bright, even light works best. Avoid photos where the player is far away or half hidden behind someone else.

Which size to pick

A5 or A4 works well as a present for one person. A3 suits a wall at home, and a full eleven in A2 or larger makes a striking display in a clubhouse or office. Prices start from £18.00.
