Lille, Les Dogues, are a club from the far north of France, a short train ride from London, and their 2021 title win broke a long run of dominance by richer clubs. The Stade Pierre Mauroy has a roof that can close and a pitch that can be lifted away. This card takes its colours from Lille and puts your player at its centre. Choose a photo, add a name, a position and six stats, then check the preview. It suits an underdog team, a fan who takes the Eurostar to matches, or a player who loves to compete.
A card for a surprise champion
Lille's title was a story of a well run club beating bigger budgets. If your team won a league it was not supposed to, put the record on a card: points, wins, goals and the margin of victory.
Photo tips
A red design gives a warm, bold card. Players in white or dark tops stand out well, and the background is removed automatically, leaving just the player on the design. Good light on the face is the key.
A trip across the Channel
Lille is easy to reach from London. If you have been to a match there, a card made with a photo from the trip, with stats like trains caught and waffles eaten, makes a fun souvenir.
Sizes for a desk or a clubhouse
Choose from A5 to A0, from £18.00. An A5 card suits a desk, an A3 a bedroom wall, and an A1 or A0 can carry a title winning team's record in a clubhouse. Preview it before you order.
A gift for a Eurostar fan
Some British fans make regular weekend trips to watch football on the continent. A card for one of them, with stats like grounds visited, countries ticked off and matches seen abroad, is a fitting present for someone who treats every season as an adventure.
A card for an indoor player
Lille's ground can close its roof and slide the pitch away to host other sports indoors. That makes it a good fit for a futsal player or a regular at an indoor five a side league. Give them stats from the small sided game: goals from close range, sole rolls, wall passes and matches played on a winter Tuesday night. A card for every member of the team, with a nickname in place of a position, makes a fun end of season gift.
Questions, answered
Is this a LOSC Lille product?
No. CardStar is independent of the club. The card only borrows Lille's red and has no club marks.
Can I write the card in French?
Yes. The name, position and stats are free text, so French works fine.
Can I use a photo from a trip to Lille?
Yes. The background is removed automatically, so a photo from a trip to Lille can go straight onto the card.
Do you deliver to France?
Yes, France included. Cards are made in the UK, the EU and the USA and delivered worldwide.
