A football career contains more than the latest season. An Icon style template helps you tell the story of playing years, a veteran’s familiar habits or a coach’s work through their own portrait. Add a name, rating, position and six stats, then check the preview. You can make a personal gift that recognises a career and the memories shared with a team.
Choose the career you want to recognise
Before filling in the template, decide what the gift should celebrate: years on the pitch, a return to playing or steady involvement with a club. Pick six themes that fit that story. The stats should describe the person in the portrait, without giving them a career or achievements they have not had.
Make a card for an experienced player
For a veteran or walking football player, seasons played and memories with teammates can guide the values. A personal rating can recognise their contribution today as well as earlier years. Check any figures you know and use clear labels when choosing a personal assessment rather than a measured match statistic. The recipient should recognise the connection.
Recognise a coach’s years of work
A coach can have their own card with values relating to seasons coached, sessions prepared or players supported. Think about the everyday tasks the team remembers too. The template puts their work at the centre of the gift. Check the details with someone who knows their career before finalising the design.
Prepare the portrait and personal details
Choose a sharp photo with an easily recognisable face. We remove the background to place the person on the design. Add the name used by the team, their position, rating and six stats. Then adjust the photo’s position and zoom in the preview until the crop suits the portrait and gives it enough space.
Plan how the gift will be displayed
Six sizes are available within A5 to A0, with prices from $22.00. For a club dinner or gift presentation, think about where the card will be displayed afterwards as well. A desk, shelf and wall offer different amounts of space. Check the available room before choosing the format that suits the recipient.
Check every card in a set
If several members receive a card, use a consistent approach to ratings and personalise each set of stats. Check every portrait and name separately. Cards are printed to order and cut to their outline. A photo collection link lets players or parents submit images for the individual cards before you prepare the designs.
